I shall go with Damar Varnish with Linseed/Walnut ( Why Walnut? IDK, just wanted to mimic the European Renaissance Artists – lets see what happens) binder and Turpentine as solvent.
The ‘glossiness’ and ability to retain color is not much to my concerns; But just a means to protect the yellowed and dulled layer of paint from dust and scratches. P.S I do love how a painting painted with Linseed Oils only, darkens and dulls over the decades ( though can be re-lightened in sunlight). It seems to give the painting more grace and ‘importance’ in my opinion. I have been ignoring the ‘Fat over Lean’ Oil:Pigment ratio rule for some time now, I shall try to correct myself in the very next painting.

Soluvar final varnish, glossy and very weather-resistant. A superior choice for protecting the finished painting. ~ a-state-of-change.com/
So finally this weekend I’ve stayed up long enough to login to WordPress and write something worthwhile..,, Really, I being a day scholar just couldnt set a timetable for last few weeks and just came home and collapsed on the bed everyday……..
then there’s a present YouTube ban in the country that is affecting all other Google services, so cant access my pals on Google= too… 😦 ..seems really weird and different to me……
So, i just tried DailyMotion and was surprised to see that its somewhat faster than you-tube ..perhaps the servers are nearer to me or less ‘loaded’ … Here’s what im watching right now…enjoy… 🙂
So, as you previously know that I had been practicing the art of foamy water and waves. If you haven’t seen that last one, just scroll abit down and BAM! the previoous post! ( ^_^ ) Anyways, here’s my latest one:-
And here are the close-ups of the awesome parts:-
And another one:-
So there, I took me like…2+ hours to make this, mostly as I was abit slow and lazy that day So I hope that you;ll like this one… 🙂
Created it for practicing foams and ‘wave structures’. To get an understanding of ‘waves’ I searched images for foamy waves on Google Image Search. Though, no image was used for tracing, or blended into this painting. And no specific image is referenced. So, how does it look? And what could improve it?
Yesterday, I saw this amazing artwork by an amazing artist on Google+. I noticed that she had painted the ‘foam’ in a waterscape scene, a bright color of red/orange instead of white. To me (someone who paints highlights as white), her method seemed to give a more realistic feel to the image. So I began experimenting with waterscape scenes, painting the foam as white and not-white. So below is the first and only image I have created. It’s done digitally on SAI. And does not use any textures or images overlay-ed!
So…check this out, and give me your feedback! (^+^)
I’ve just done working on something big, and in my next post I shall show to you that what that ‘big’ thing was……. But first, a Snippet
This is just a tiny part of the whole image… the image is done in black and white and describes a scene of a ‘lonely night’….
Hope you’ll still be here on to check that out…. 🙂
I completed BulletStorm for PC yesterday, and man was it a nice game.. Sure, it had a lot of glitches..but the overall idea of ‘skill-shots’ made this game a bit addicting……… I’m playing the ‘Echoes’ nowadays but Im sure I’ll be again bored after some time…so any suggestions for PC games I shall buy?
Haven’t played this game? Here’s a pic (from Google Images)
Hello, Im back after quite some time as the last few days were…unexpected and very hectic….So, now that im a bit free, so here’s an artwork of mine that I wanted to share with YOU!
Titled The Beach, I made this one….like in February or something. This was the first time that I had practiced with the ‘sparkle’ effect in water (what ever it’s really called)…. So it’s not 100% accurate, but hehe is guess it’s okay for a start…Isn’t it?
So here are the details (from my Shadowness Page), as it had been on Shadowness for quite some time…..
Yay! Third in the series of impressionist waterscapes… :smile
^ Yes that is all!
I dont know what else to write I ma n00b at wrting long posts… Oh well/
Howdy fellow bloggers! Well, If you have been following my awesome awesome blog till now then you mut know that an artist (hehe) I am, but I get the annoying ‘block‘ from inspiration a few times….. I make poor quality art when not inspired, as I dont put out all the emotions in my art then (as there is an absense of emotions/surreali-ty in art itself) …… though, when inspired; things get kinda awesome!
So, yeah, back to my story that how inspiration came? well, I was bored and annoyed (due to something.) and just turned on the TuneMark app in my ipod and listened to an amazing song on Digitally Imported Radio: Vocal Trance….And
BAM!!! Inspiration! To create a enchanting Oriental (japanese?) landscape scene on my canvas….. And this will be made with a knife instead of brushes… So the next time I post (probably tomorrow) I may have an awesome painting to share with you all! 🙂
Oh Yeah, I had almost forgot, here’s the song I listened to:
